Youngest Female MP graduates from KNUST with 2nd class

Member of Parliament for Kwabre East Constituency, Ms. Francisca Oteng Mensah, has finally passed out from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

Ms Francisca Oteng Mensah prior to entering parliament was still a final year student at the University pursuing LLB at the College of Humanities and Social Sciences.

She graduated last Saturday among, 48 per cent of females who graduated out of 2,200 students from the college with a second class.

Francisca is the daughter of Dr Oteng Gyasi, a doctor and the owner of the Angel Group of Companies. Ms. Oteng Mensah, a 24-year old Law student beat her contender from the NDC with more than 50,000 votes to massively win the Kwabre East seat.

She contested the parliamentary seat on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) with a total votes of 70,688 as against her NDC’s Iddisah Adams who polled 15,000 votes.

Recently she was in the news for donating her first three months salary together with taxi cabs to her constituents in fulfilment of a campaign pledge she made prior to  her election.
