When is Game for Grenfell charity match, who is playing in it, and what TV channel is it on?

STARS from the sporting, music and entertainment world will join forces to play a charity football match to raise funds for the victims of the Grenfell Tower disaster.

The horror blaze killed at least 80 people and Game for Grenfell was organised by QPR chairman Tony Fernandes, director of football Les Ferdinand and Ferdy Unger-Hamilton of Columbia Records.

When is Game for Grenfell charity match?

The star-studded line ups will go head to head on Saturday, September 2nd.

The game will kick off at 3pm.

The match will take place at Loftus Road.

Who is playing in it?

Les Ferdinand, David Seaman, Trevor Sinclair, Alan Shearer, Andy Sinton, Jody Morris, Ally McCoist and Paul Merson, are amongst the ex-pros who will line up at Loftus Road.

Mo Farah has also committed himself to play in the emotional event.

Peter Crouch is also down to player with his friend and firefighter Gregg Jules, who was directly involved in the relief effort.

While, Marcus Mumford, Olly Murs, Wretch 32, Ben Shephard, Damian Lewis, DJ Spoony, Tinie Tempah, Jarvis Cocker, Darren Campbell, Jamie Dornan, Richard Ashcroft, Serge Pizzorno, Tamer Hassan, Ben Cohen and James Bay will also feature.

What TV channel is it on?

Sky 1 will broadcast the match live.

Coverage will begin at 2pm and the show will end at 5.30pm.

Where can I buy tickets?

You can buy tickets directly through QPR’s official site.

Tickets will cost £15 for adults and £5 for children.

The funds raised from the event will go directly to the London Community Foundation – where it will be distributed to survivors and the wider community affected by the fire.

Donations can be made through Game4Grenfell’s fundraising page via Virgin Money Giving.

All donations made through this website will be passed directly to the London Community Foundation.

Plenty of fans who cannot attend the game have found this as a way to sponsor the event.
