Accra, July 31, GNA – Samudeen Ibrahim,
central midfielder of Accra Hearts of Oak says his side was aware of the
quality of Danbort FC and did not underrate them in any way.

Samudeen Ibrahim helped his side to beat
division one side Danbort FC by a lone goal to qualify for the semi-final of
the 2017 MTN FA cup competition.

Speaking to the press in a post-match
interview, the midfielder said they were determined to sail through to the next
round of the competition and so there was no room for complacency.

“We didn’t underrate Danbort FC, because we
knew how they performed against Liberty Professionals in the previous round. We
psyched ourselves up to face a tough side and we were also poised to qualify to
the next round and we did it.

“It was a very difficult game, we were slow in
the first half but in the second half we came in stronger. I am happy we won
the game to qualify to the next round.

“We would prefer to win all the trophies but
for me the league is more important than the FA Cup and I would want to win it
rather.

“We are now going start preparation for our
next game against Kotoko in Kumasi”, Samudeen said.
