Watford 3-1 Man Utd: Late Hornets double strike sinks United

Zuniga and Deeney clinched the points for the hosts after Marcus Rashford squared the game with United’s first shot on target in the tie

s="">Manchester United fell to a third consecutive defeat in all competitions, losing 3-1 to Watford on Sunday afternoon.

After Odion Ighalo missed a glaring opportunity to put Watford into the lead, Etienne Capoue struck past David De Gea to ensure the hosts opened the scoring.

Marcus Rashford equalised for Jose Mourinho’s side with United’s first shot on target in the second half before the Hornets snatched all three points with a late winner.

Juan Zuniga scored within 30 seconds of being introduced in place of Capoue, before Troy Deeney scored an injury-time penalty to hand the points to Walter Mazzarri’s men.
