UBA holds quarterly strategy session

uba-logo-2UBA Ghana Ltd held its Quarterly Business Review (QBR) on Friday (October 7th, 2016).

The Bank usually holds its QBR every three months where emphasis is placed on using the various products in the Bank to provide excellent service delivery to its esteemed customers.

It would be recalled that UBA Ghana blazed the trail in the Ghana banking space, when it commenced commercial banking operations in 2005 with diverse innovations and improved product offerings to the Ghana banking populace.

The MD/CEO Abiola Bawuah used the occasion to highlight on the ongoing “UBA Awoof” Promotion, which provides a great opportunity for qualifying UBA customers to win significantly, including the chance to own a house in a choice location in Ghana, as well as cash prizes and electricals.

The Deputy Managing Director of UBA Ghana Soni Anwal, further highlighted that the Bank’s promotion on AWOOF is designed to enhance savings habits among all banking customers and must be seen as a mandate to assist all categories of the banks customers to boost wealth creation.

Explaining further, the DMD said the AWOOF promotion process simply allows customers to save multiples of two hundred Cedis without any upper limit over a 90 day period in order to participate in a DRAW and win a 3 bedroom town house at the prestigious Mobus Properties Richfield Life Estate at East Legon Hills.

Customers and non-customers alike are given the opportunity to participate with terms and conditions with quarterly draws commencing in November 2016 winning Air-Conditioners and TVs in addition to cash prizes.

The MD/CEO stated further that UBA Ghana is still providing leadership in Digital banking business in Ghana by using its various products to serve the banking needs of our esteemed customers: with such examples as U-Direct, an individual and SME safe and secure Bank reconciliation platform, U-Bills, a convenient one stop e-payment portal providing ways to pay for most recurrent customer expenditures while ensuring that as an organization UBA is able to halt attacks on the financial system since UBA was amongst the first to implement security standards like the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) and ISO27001.

In line with the UBA Ghana’s focus on maintaining its zero tolerance to regulatory infraction the Head of Operations of the Ghana Immigration Service Laud Ofori Affrifah was invited to address the Bank’s management team on the regulatory requirements concerning non- nationals living and/or working in Ghana.

One of the highlights of the day was when he made the strong reiteration that non-Executive Directors of Companies are not necessarily employees of that company hence may not require work permits.
