Tottenham transfer news: Suso sale ruled out by AC Milan in huge blow to Spurs chief Mauricio Pochettino

AC MILAN have ruled out selling Suso to Tottenham, according to reports.

The Liverpool flop has thrived in Italy since arriving two years ago and is a top target for Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino.

And after reports emerged of Milan rejecting an initial £20million approach, Tuttomercato claim club chiefs will refuse to let him go.

Suso, 23, struggled at Anfield having come through the Reds’ academy – playing 21 times in two seasons and scoring once.

But after a productive loan spell at Almeria he has rebuilt his career in Serie A.

The attacking midfielder hardly featured in his first two seasons at Milan, with a short-term Genoa move giving him game time.

He featured 36 times last season, however, finishing with seven goals in by far his most productive campaign to date.

Tottenham chief Pochettino was suitably impressed to place the Spanish youth international at the top of his wish list as he seeks options out wide.

But Milan chiefs see Suso as a key part of their future plans and are set to offer him a new deal.

The Italian giants have had a busy summer and look be on course to restore the glory days.
