Tottenham confirm they have agreed a deal with Marseille to sell forward Clinton Njie

TOTTENHAM have confirmed they have agreed a deal to sell Clinton Njie to Marseille on a permanent transfer.

The Cameroon international, 23, spent last season on loan at the Ligue 1 club – but has failed to impress Mauricio Pochettino enough to keep him.

Spurs signed Njie in August 2015 from Lyon for £8.3million but he failed to score in 14 appearances for them.

But after making progress in France, Marseille wanted to take him on on a permanent basis, following a four-goal haul last term.
