Torino close to extending Afriyie Acquah’s contract

Torino FC are eager to tie down Ghanaian midfielder Afriyie Acquah to a long deal before the commencement of Italian Serie A. 

The grenade leadership is trying to confirm valid elements in order to maintain a long and competitive squad to be delivered to Sinisa Mihajlovic before the start of the new season.

As reported by Tuttosport , the two sides are very close to signing the new contract.

In recent days, the grenade midfielder was mooted be joining English Premier League newcomers Newcastle United, but apparently the Ghanaian player wants to stay in Turin.

His contract expires in 2019, but according to the latest statements, the player could sign until 2021.

Arrived in the summer of 2015, Acquah has racked up 31 seasonal appearances in his first vintage knit grenade.

Three networks, with five assists he scored. Last season the hard tackling midfielder played in 22 games, scoring two goals.

In the last part of the championship Mihajlovic has deployed on several occasions and could be a viable alternative during the season.

Missing only the agreement between the parties and the signature, but Oliver Arthur, agent of the player, is in Italy to be able to finalize all the details.
