SPOSA 1991 refurbishes ICT lab, donates computers to alma mater

sposarMembers of the  1991 Old Boys of St Paul’s Senior High School have refurbished the ICT lab of their alma mater located at Denu in the Volta Region.

They also presented computers, accessories and books to the school.

The donation is part of activities to mark the 25th Anniversary of the year group.

President of the Association  Selasi Dzormeku said the donation will go a long way to give the students practical education in Information Technology (IT) and improve academic excellence in the school.

He said the gesture was a demonstration of their appreciation for the good training they had from the school as students.

“We decided as a year group to come together and come back to our alma mater. Looking at the support that the school gave us to become who we are today, we decided to give back to our alma mater after 25 years of leaving the school.”

He also advised the students to put the computers to good use while ensuring a good culture of maintenance.

The donation was supported by Kasapreko Company Limited, Selasi Dzomeku indicated.

The National Chairman for the group David Nutakor urged students to be  disciplined in all fields of life.

“One can be very intelligent in school but without discipline things may not go well with you” he said.

Minister for transport Fifi Fiavi Franklyn Kwetey who is also an old boy, lamented how the internet is being  used for the wrong purpose and urged the students to find better use for them by conducting thorough research.

The old students encouraged the students to study hard for a brighter future.

Headmaster of the school who is also an old boy, Mr Francis Hlorgbe commended  the 1991 batch for the gesture and called on other year groups to come on-board to support the school.
