SPOILER ALERT – EastEnders’ Linda and Mick are at breaking point

“I’ll always be wondering if it’s her you’d rather be with,” said Linda at the end of that showdown between her, Mick and Whitney, and it’s going to take a lot more than L supping from her Lady Di comfort mug to make things right again between the childhood sweethearts.

Of course, Shirley doesn’t quite see it that way. Shirl’s convinced that Mick is over Whitney, so she invites her and Woody over for lunch to ram the point home.

But Linda hits the bottle and starts flirting with Whit’s new fiancé, and it’s not long before the whole thing blows up and Linda tells Woody what’s been going on…

Desperate, Mick surprises Linda with a thoughtful present, but her finding out that it was not one but two kisses makes things even harder.

One person that Linda has often turned to for counsel is Sharon.

Mick, on the other hand, is left offering Fi a shoulder to cry on after he finds her upset.

Considering Linda thought it was Fi who was getting her claws into Mick in the first place, this doesn’t seem like a bright idea…

It may just be part of some greater plan of Max’s, but when Carmel invites him to a council do, he agrees to go with her, even though it means blowing out quality time with Fi at her swanky pad.

Max pushes his luck earlier in the week when he quizzes her on some council gossip he’d heard, and Carmel doesn’t like the tone of his voice.

But what she doesn’t know is that he’s having a tough day for other reasons – something only former daughter-in-law Stacey can understand… He’s a puzzle wrapped in a conundrum and dipped in a mystery, is Max.
