Twitter has been left divided by businessman Kenny Kunene’s newest art purchase – a satirical painting that appears to show Mmusi Maimane, Helen Zille and James Selfe in all their naked glory.

“I am now a proud owner of this masterpiece. Powerful storytelling through art. Thanks to the fearless artist,” Kunene wrote when he posted the image, which appears to show DA leader Maimane as a fully undressed slave, pulling Western Cape Premier Zille and DA federal executive ch

airperson Selfe in a cart.

‘Crude‚ silly painting won’t distract us’: Maimane on Kenny’s naked artwork The artwork elicited mixed reactions from his followers. While some users said they were appalled by the painting, others praised the controversial businessman for having purchased it.

While Kunene shied away from naming the artist behind the painting, some of his followers speculated that it was Ayanda Mabulu, who is no stranger to controversy.

The artist had tongues wagging a few weeks ago when one of his artworks exhibited at Constitution Hill in Johannesburg depicted President Jacob Zuma licking the behind of one of the Gupta brothers‚ a naked Atul‚ in an aircraft cockpit‚ with an ANC flag hanging to the side.

Ayanda Mabulu’s Zuma paintings a ‘grotesque act of vulgarity’ – ANC here A second painting showed Zuma reclining in what resembles a throne‚ seemingly asleep and with his private parts exposed.
