Rivaldo, 45, was all smiles as he fist pumped the air after his son earned his side a valuable 1-1 draw against Athletic Bilbao, cancelling out Aymeric Laporte’s opener.

The 22-year-old picked up a loose ball and burst forward before unleashing a fierce shot from 30-yards into the roof of the net.

After netting the sensational strike he stormed away celebrating and took his top off before sliding on his knees as his team-mates bundled him.

This equalising goal has shown his father’s footballing ability has been passed through the family as the Brazilian legend was known for scoring incredible goals.

One of his most well-known strikes was his overhead kick in the six-goal thriller between Barcelona and Man Utd in 1998.

The two heavyweight clubs collided in the group stage of the Champions League and Rivaldo’s overhead kick settled an enthralling tie.
