Rare London vanishes leaving hundreds of customers out of pocket – and ex-TOWIE star Sam Faiers admits she’s not been paid for promoting it

FASHION label Rare London has gone bust leaving thousands of customers out of pocket.

Customers were alerted to problems after the website for the celeb-backed fashion label, worn by the likes of Billie Faier and Louise Thompson, disappeared earlier this week.

A spokesperson for Sam Faiers told The Sun Online that she has not been paid for her work for the fashion brand

The fashion brand posted a statement on its Facebook page explaining that administrators had been appointed on July 26.

It said: “The Joint Administrators had to take the unfortunate decision to cease to trade the Company with immediate effect making all staff redundant.”

Hundreds of customers have been bombarding the brands social media pages on Twitter and Facebook to complain that they’ve not received orders and that refunds for returned items have not been processed.

The fashion brand is sold on Asos and in a number of high street shops including TopShop and Next.

And it’s not just customers that have been left out of pocket as ex-TOWIE star Sam Faiers claims that she has not been paid by the firm for fronting its spring/summer collection.

University tutor Kayley Quinn, who lives in Coventry, has been trying to contact Rare London for a refund for a number of weeks.

The 30-year-old paid £78 for two-dresses in mid-June for a wedding she was attending Spain.

She told The Sun Online: “I wasn’t happy with the quality so I sent them back on June 29.

“I’ve been chasing them for a refund ever since”.

While Sarah Fletcher, a manager at a hairdresser salon in Hemel Hempstead, is due a £60 refund after returning an order in June.

The 46-year-old has bought the dress for her 18-year-old daughter Ella.

She said: “I ordered the dress for Ella’s prom but it had a fault so we sent it back and ordered another one to be delivered on express delivery.

“I kept chasing for a refund but even though I got an email saying it had been authorised I’ve not been sent the money.

“I know my order is just a drop in the ocean as lots of people are owed money. It’s disgusting and they shouldn’t be allowed to get away with it.”

The fashion label has had deals with British celebrities to wear its clothing, including ITV star Sam Faiers who recently collaborated with the brand to share her top 10 must-have items for the party season.

A spokesman for Sam told The Sun Online: “Samantha was contracted by Rare London to promote a Spring Summer capsule collection and as yet has not been paid for the work she carried out.

“Her team have made repeated attempts to contact the brand following feedback on social media however they have been unresponsive.

“We would like to highlight that Samantha has no other affiliation with Rare London or it’s associated companies.

“She has now instructed her Lawyers on this matter.”

Spokesperson for Billie Faiers and Louise Thompson have been contacted for a comment but have not responded.
