PHOTOS: Missionary provides Mechanized boreholes for Ketu South Community

The people of Gamadzra in the Ketu South District of the Volta Region now have access to potable drinking water.

The CEO of DANITEC Incorporated in the US who is also a missionary, Dr. Martin Moreira has built three bore holes, one unmechanized and two mechanized in the area to provide clean water to the people of Gamadzra.

The boreholes were commissioned yesterday at the Gamadzra RC Basic School.  In a speech read in the stead of the Dumega of Gamadzra, Wemade Akpahode, the Dumega revealed that access to water has been an all time problem in the area adding that children especially had to spend longer hours by wells in search of water before they go to school and therefore go to school late.

This, he said affects the academic performance of the pupils and hence the boreholes will go a long way to bring relief to the people of Gamadzra.

He however, appealed to the CEO of DINATEC Incorporated, Dr. Martin Moreira and the government to start up jobs and businesses that will employ the teaming unemployed youth in the area.

On his part, Dr. Moreira said he embarked on this project to extend the love and blessings he has received from God to people worldwide and is happy that Gamadzra is a beneficiary.

He took the opportunity to lead the people in prayers soliciting the blessings of God on the community.

The MCE of the area expressed gratitude to the CEO of DANITEC Incorporated for coming to the aide of the community and signaled that the community will welcome philanthropists and individuals or corporate organizations who want to help develop their communities.

The over 18 thousand dollars, 20 liter water tank project has come to provide water for the over one thousand inhabitants in the area.

Dr. Martin Moreira also donated exercise books to the pupils of Gamadzra RC Basic School.
