No one has proposed to me over 13 years in Parliament- Kate Addo

Madam Kate Addo, Acting Director of Public Affairs at the Parliament House of Ghana has revealed that no law maker has shown interest in her close to 14 years of service at the house.

Being celebrated on the ‘Obaapa’ segment of Ghana Te Sen, Madam Kate said she has no understating why it has been so, but suspects it to be a result of her general temperament.

“For now, no one has shown interest in me maybe in the near future” she added.

She said, “There have been instances where some people find their spouses at the house but that is not in my case”.

According to her, she would have noticed if someone had interest in her.

When questioned of her luck with the incoming MPs, the spokesperson at the parliament house said they are below her belt.

“As the new MPs they are in form 1 and am already in 6th form”, she laughed.

She has a B. Pham (Hons) degree from the University of Science and Technology and a MSC in International Retail Marketing from the University of Surrey, Guilford, UK.

Mrs. Attionu has over 20 years proven experience in varying roles throughout her career particularly in general management, project planning and management, and in executing marketing activity against financial and marketing return on investment objectives. She has been involved in advocacy with governments and other international agencies and has managed diverse and multi-functional teams with varying skills set.

She believes that rights based approach through strengthening the poor and marginalized communities to advocate on their own behalf by helping build their capacity through networks and movements.

She is member of the Board of Directors of both government and private sector institutions.She emerged and contested as the first female candidate to contest for NDC parliamentary candidate in the Anyaa Sowutuom Constituency
