Ghanaian midfielder Richard Boateng says he is willing to put in a shift for the club in any position as long as it helps the team.

The Ghanaian has recognized that his departure from his previous club was not easy, but everything was behind and now he is committed, excited and eager to take the UD Melilla where it deserves: the Second Division of Spanish football. Still, he says that it will not be easy:

“Group IV is not easy, and to be able to be up and achieve the goal of the club we will have to fight a lot. If not, any team can surprise you. Without work we can not get anything, “he started commenting.

The midfielder feels that he has “a lot of responsibility with the club”, because he assures that the UD Melilla is a team with “a lot of name in the category, that always is classified well in the table”. “This,” he continues, “is a responsibility I accept.”

He explains that he is “a midfielder who can play in any position in the field”, with good qualities in both the defensive and offensive aspects. “Everything that the manager asks of me is what I do, if he asks me to go upstairs I will try to get as much as I can to score goals too,” says Boateng.

He has recognized that one of his main goals is to “have a promotion in the curriculum”, and sees Melilla as the right place to get it. “Like very little, I want to play the playoff, for that I came here,” concluded the new player of the UD Melilla.
