The two panellists cited for contempt charges over their comment to kill justices of the Supreme Court (SC) on Accra-based Montie FM are due to appear before the court today, Tuesday, July 12.

Godwin Ako Gunn and Alistair Nelson will join the host of Montie FM’s Pampaso programme, Salifu Maase known as Mugabe and owner of the station are expected to answer questions regarding the outburst.

The nation was given rude awakening when two panellists, Godwin Ako Gunn and Alistair Nelson contributing on a current affairs programme on Montie FM said they will murder justices of the Supreme Court if their ruling on the electoral roll case does not favour the EC.

They are alleged to have said they know where some of the judges reside and will detail them to visit that action on them.

The Bureau of National Investigation (BNI) was later to say the two have no capacity to undertake the action they claimed.

This was received with mixed feelings considering the comment was made at a time the nation was marking the 34th Anniversary when some High Court judges were gruesomely murdered by some operatives of the erstwhile Provisional National Defence Council (PNDC).
