MATCH REPORT: Hearts 0-1 AshGold – In-form AshGold continue winning streak

Hearts of Oak suffered a painful defeat at home to a resurgent AshGold side with the famous Daniel Gonza scoring the all-important goal.

An intelligent pass from Amos Addai found the running Daniel Gozah unmarked who threw Benjamin Mensah the wrong direction to give C.K. Akonnor’s side the win with just twelve minutes in the game.

The Phobians, after starting the game very well lost possession to the away side as they have come to terms by getting the first goal.

The Miners under Ck Akunnor have adopted a possession based system and that was what was on display on the day.

Hearts of Oak had a last minute chance from the set piece to equalize but the free kick was shot straight into the wall by substitute Bright Lukman disappointing their vociferous fans.

AshGold have been undefeated in their last six games, winning five and drawing one in what appears a magical moment for CK Akonnor.
