Madonna appears to take a swipe at ex Guy Ritchie as she posts Father’s Day message to HERSELF saying she is ‘the mommy and the daddy’

MADONNA took the opportunity to praise her role as a single mother by sharing a Father’s Day post to herself on Instagram.

The iconic singer opted not to mention her former partners Guy Ritchie and Carlos Leon, who are fathers to her children Rocco and Lourdes, as she shared a snap of herself with her biological and adopted children.

Taking to social media, Madonna posted an snap of herself, Lourdes, Rocco, David and Mercy with a photoshopped inset of her adopted twins Stella and Esther.

She wrote: “And Happy Father’. Day to Me too because lets face it …,,..,,,,,… Im the Mommy and the Daddy.”

Madonna gave birth to her daughter Lourdes in October 1996 during her relationship with Carlos Leon, while she gave birth to Rocco in August 2000 during her marriage to director Guy Ritchie.

The couple also adopted David Banda before they split in 2008.

Both men are now co-parents with the iconic singer, though Madonna and Guy were involved in a custody battle over Rocco for several months in 2016.

Madonna then went on to adopt Mercy James, 11, and her four-year old twins from Malawi and often shares sweet clips of her children with fans on social media.

The singer’s post comes after it was revealed the singer has splashed out on a new £5million mansion in Portugal to help David pursue his dream career as a footballer.
