Kofi Adams sues CDS, Abronye over theft

The National Organiser of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kofi Adams, has filed a suit at the Accra High Court against the Chief of Defence Staff of the Ghana Armed Forces, Major General Obed Akwa, in connection with the seizure of his vehicles.

Mr. Adams in his writ filed at the Human Rights division of the Accra High court seeks to recover items which according to him were allegedly stolen from his vehicles after the invasion of his home by a taskforce led by Captain Tandoh early this year.

Adams is accusing the taskforce members of stealing a pistol and some quantity of cash from his vehicle after the said car was later released to him.

Also joined to the suit are Captain Anane Tandoh of the Defence Mechanical Transport Unit at Burma Camp as well as Brong Ahafo Youth Organiser of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC.
