Judge Gives Green Light For Two Buildings Belonging To Nayele Ametefe To Be Seized By The State

Nayele Ametefe aka Ruby Appiah

Two properties owned by the jailed drug baroness, Nayele Ametefe, have been seized by the state following a ruling from an Accra Economic and Financial Crimes court.

The properties are a couple of storey buildings, one located at East Legon and the other at Dzorwulu, both in Accra.

The state initially seized the buildings, but were challenged by Nayele’s mother. Madam Akua Adubofour, who claimed the buildings belonged to her and not her daughter.

However, the judge hearing the case concluded that the buildings belonged to Nayele and thus gave the go ahead for them to be seized.

The properties, one of which is valued at $1.8m, would be sold and proceeds divided by state institutions including NACOB, EOCO, the Consolidated Fund and the courts.
