It’s difficult working with promising actors but… – Fred Amugi

Retired civil servant and veteran actor Fred Amugi has revealed his biggest plight working with new actors.

He said for his over forty years acting career, whenever he acts with up and coming actors, they are gripped with fear making them unable to unearth their acting prowess.

Speaking with Kasaapafmonline.com, Fred Amugi who was spotted at the premiering of a new movie titled ‘Life and Trials’ at the Silverbird Cinemas, Westhills Mall said though the experienced actors encounter few challenges acting with many budding stars, they were able to overcome their nervousness.

“There are many challenges working with new actors when they are on set with known faces but we don’t despise them even when they continue to make mistakes,” Fred said.

Asked how veteran actors cope with new actors, Fred Amugi said, “We encourage, mingle and have fun with them so that they see us as one people.”

According to Amugi, most young actors do forget their lines when acting with the popular faces and it gets so tiring when the director requests for re-shoot of the same scene many times but they give them that room to correct their mistakes.

He advised actors to be modest when they get to the pinnacle of their acting profession since many individuals see them as icons.

Fred Amugi is widely known for playing the armed robber, scammer, drug dealer, the hitman and any kind of criminal and bad boy role.

However, this Ghollywood legend, known in real life as Fred Nii Amugi leads an ambivalent lifestyle. Off the set, he is a deeply religious, nice and approachable person.

His works include Beasts of No Nation, The Destiny of Lesser Animals, The Cursed Ones, Chronicles of Odumkrom The Headmaster, Pieces of Me, Punctured Hope, In the Eyes of My Husband, M.P. (Madam Pink), Holby City (TV Series), Tuesday’s Child, Welcome Home, The Other Side of the Rich, Filming Africa (Documentary).
