‘I was blind for 3 days’ – Gospel musician Seth Frimpong

Veteran gospel artiste, Prophet Seth Frimpong has disclosed he became visually impaired for three days at the early stages of his sickness.

The ‘Okumchola’ hitmaker said he woke up one morning and could not see anything around him.

Asked how he managed the situation, Seth Frimpong said he hid his blindness from his children and family around him until he recovered his sight.

“I went completely blind, but I managed to hide it from my children and everybody in my house at that time… In the morning, I will pretend to be seeing everything, my food was served at the usual place so I could walk to the table and eat. I was also familiar with everything in my immediate environment and so I didn’t have difficulties moving around. I however spent sleepless nights praying hard to God to restore my sight and the miracle happened unexpectedly and I was able to see again. It was after I regained my sight that I broke the news to my children,” Seth Frimpong narrated.

In an interview on Abusua FM’s late afternoon drive time show, Ike De-Unpredictable, Prophet Seth Frimpong said he has been bed-ridden in the last two years and that explains his hibernation from the music scene.

The once celebrated gospel musician said he has been battling type one diabetes in the last two years which has led to his significant loss of weight.

Prophet Seth Frimpong also known as the ‘dancing prophet’ has to his credit hit songs like Mehuri So, Okumchola and a host of other danceable songs of praise and worship.
