Ghanaian midfielder Raymond powers Stabaek to the Norwegian Cup semifinals stage

The Gyasi brothers in action

Dutch-born Ghanaian midfielder Raymond Gyasi scored for Stabaek  in their 3-0 victory over Aalesund in the Norway NM Cup quarter finals at the Nadderud Stadion stadium on Thursday night.

The 23-year-old opened the scoring for Stabaek in the 20th minute after beating the offside trap before Belgian youth international Tortol Lumanzi-Lembi  added his side’s second of the night.

Aalesund came strongly into the game in the second stanza and went close to reducing the deficit but Stabaek goalkeeper Sayouba Mande dealt well with their attacking threats.

Tonny Brochmann sealed the win for the Blue Ones in the 47th minute with a superb curling shot.

Gyasi enjoyed full throttle of the match likewise his senior brother Edwin Gyasi, who was at his usual best for Aalesund but could prevent the impressive from progressing to the semi-finals of the cup competition.
