Ghanaian attacker William Acheampong scores for Antwerp in loss against Genk

Ghanaian attacker William Acheampong came off the bench to score for Royal Antwerp in their 5-3 home loss to KRC Genk in the Belgian Jupilar PRO League at the Bosule Stadion on Sunday.

Acheampong opened his account for season after coming on in the 79th when his side were 5-1 down.

He replaced Obbi Oulare in the 62nd minute.

Meanwhile, his compatriot Joseph Aidoo  spent the entire duration for the game on the substitute bench for was for Genk.

Goals from former TP Mazembe striker Mbwana Samata, Leandro Trossard, Siebe Schrijvers Mbwana Samata and an own goal from Dino Arslanagic handed Genk all the three points.

A 24th minute goal from Joerie Dequevy and Dino Arslanagic late strike were not enough for the home side.

Antwerp occupy 9th position with 4 points after 3 games likewise Genk who lie just above their opponents.
