Ghana Drops To 50th Position In The Fifa World Rankings


The Black Stars of Ghana has dropped to 50th in the world as the latest Fifa/Coca Cola world rankings released today.

The Black Stars slip after a couple of friendly losses to the United States and Mexico.

Ghana were 49th in the world in the rankings for June.

The Black Stars remain the 9th highest ranked team on the continent.

Egypt are the continent’s highest placed side, ranked 24th in the world. Senegal, Congo DR, Tunisia and Cameroon follow in that order, completing the top five on the continent.

Globally, Confederations Cup champions Germany top the list, followed by Brazil, Argentina, Portugal and Switzerland.
