Gareth Bale suffered social media PR gaffe as he appears to reveal post about his new bar and grill was written for him

GARETH BALE seems to be the latest footballer to accidentally reveal their social media posts are little more than scripted ads.

The Real Madrid and Wales star posted a photo of himself in Cardiff bar he has opened with brewery firm S.A Brain & Co.

Gareth Bale appeared to be sent a pre-written message to post from his social media account
In a bid to make it look like he wrote his own messgage, Bale deleted the original and published and almost identical one

But instead of writing his own message about the restaurant he copied and pasted a message that appeared to have been sent by him, leaving on the instruction for him to ‘copy’.

The caption said: “Great to head into @elevensbargrill tonight, take a look at why I opened and a glimpse into what went in to making it.”

To celebrate Bale’s No11 shirt the bar has lunch deals, pizza and prosecco, burger and ale and drinks deals all for £11.

The blunder post was swiftly deleted and republished without the directional note at the top.

Sunderland striker Victor Anichebe had a similar mare in October when he published a pre-written request from the club’s media team.

After a devastating last minute defeat to West Ham, the forward Tweeted: “”Can you tweet something like:

‘Unbelievable support yesterday and great effort by the lads! Hard result to take! But we go again!”

Christian Benteke had a similar howler when he played for Crystal Palace in May.

The forward scored in the Eagles’ 4-0 thrashing of Hull but made an embarrassing mistake on social media after the game.

On Twitter and Instagram: “Caption:

“Great win today, a goal and another year @premierleague ! Thanks for the amazing support during the match! 🔴🔵 #CB17#jumpman.”
