Fully Funded Studentship in Zeolite Sensors for Medical and Environmental Scholarship Positions 2017 2018

Keele University is inviting applications for PhD Studentship in the project of Zeolite Sensors for Medical and Environmental for research starting September 2017.

The project provides an opportunity to achieve a professional level in the preparation and characterisation of nanostructured materials, their applications and relevance.

Keele University is situated on an estate with extensive woods, lakes and parkland, formerly owned by the Sneyd family. Keele will continue to be one of the UK’s leading campus-based University communities.

Course Level: This position is available for pursuing PhD programme.

Study Subject: The position is awarded in the project of Zeolite Sensors for Medical and Environmental.

Scholarship Award: 100% UK/EU tuition fees for 3 years commencing Academic year 2017/2018. Stipend support for three years at Research Council rates (2017/8 stipend £14,553 per annum). Funding for consumables and conference attendance is available.

Number of Awards: One award is available.

Scholarship can be taken in the UK

Eligibility: Applications are invited from candidates who have attained a good 1st or upper 2nd Class Honours degree or an MSc in Chemistry or related disciplines, e.g. Chemical Engineering or Materials Science. The successful candidate should possess excellent background knowledge in zeolites, inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry or materials chemistry. Applicants must be UK or EU nationals to be eligible for the studentship.

Nationality: UK and EU students are eligible to apply for research studentships.
