Farmer vows to kill fulani

fulaniThe farmer whose wife was butchered by a Fulani herdsman in his farm at Ayiram Adagbornu in the Krachi East District in Volta region has vowed to retaliate in equal measure.

The farmer, Kpalu Wumbe together with his pregnant wife were on Tuesday butchered by a fulani herdsman in their farm.

According to the man, he had only gone in to question the Fulani man why he allowed his herd of cows to stray to his farm and destroy his crops.

The herdsman, he said, became enraged and attacked his pregnant wife, Pibaab Maananyein and later attacked him with cutlass, inflicting wounds on them.
His wife fell unconscious and was rushed to the Dambai Clinic. She is currently in a critical condition.

The angry man has therefore threatened to eliminate all Fulani herdsmen in the town if the police fail to bring the perpetrator to book.

“My wife is really in a critical condition and I promise to kill him if my wife dies and so they should just pray that my wife lives else I would be forced to take the law into my hands” he stated.

Though Mr. Wumbe claims the matter has been reported to the Dambai police, the Dambai District Police Commander, ASP Lawson Amegbor told Adom News no such case has been reported to them.

He called on the farmer to immediately file a complaint to the police for investigations to begin.
