English-born Ghanaian forward Tarique Fosu signs for Charlton Athletic

English-born Ghanaian hitman Tarique Fosu has signed for English League One side Charlton Athletics on a two-year deal from Reading.

The 21-year-old spent last season on loan at League Two side Colchester United where he scored five goals in 33 games.

His performance for John McGreal’s side convinced the Addicks to snap him up on a two-year contract.

“When I heard [Charlton manager] Karl [Robinson] was in for me, it made the decision for me,” said Fosu.

“He’s worked with a lot of young players so hopefully I can produce for him,” he told the club website.

The budding talent has also played for Fleetwood Town and Accrington Stanley all on loan.
