Cheez TV returns on Sunday for all your nostalgic wants and needs

This image on its own is enough to evoke mass nostalgia.

YOU could spend your Sunday evening being an adult and tuning into 60 Minutes or you could receive a healthy dose of nostalgia and tune into the new episodes of Cheez TV.

Yes, you read that correctly, Cheez TV will be coming back to our screens.

The childhood favourite will be streaming weekly episodes of the show every Sunday at 7.00pm AEST on Twitch — the world’s largest video game streaming service.

Unlike other reboots, the Cheez TV program will be feature original hosts Ryan Lappin and Jade Gatt. What a time to be alive!

Jade said the new program, rebranded as Cheezontwitch, had been a long time in the making.

“We had tried the podcast thing and that wasn’t working, so we decided to go to a platform we would feel more comfortable. That is how we decided to push the show on Twitch,” he told news.com.au.

“It’s going to be a variety show where we play all sorts of games we used to love. Basically, it’s just going to be a bit of fun every week.

“We will likely stream for a couple of hours, but we could go even longer if the Cheezoids want us to because that’s how we roll.”

While the guys couldn’t go into many specifics about what to expect, we can only hope the show will be as good as the time news.com.au played Pokemon Go with Ryan and Jade on Facebook Live.

After the original Cheez TV ended, Jade and Ryan went their separate ways in order to pursue different career paths in the entertainment industry.

Ryan had made a move into the music industry, while Jade had gone to work for the Disney Channel before taking on other odd jobs.

Now the pair who first started working together as teenagers are happy to be back in business.

“It’s crazy that there is still such hype for the show given we finished up around 12 years ago,” he said.

“We don’t understand why, but everyone seems to remember us because they grew up watching the cartoons on our show before school.

“What’s blows us away is these kids are now grown up and we can have beers with them, it’s awesome.”

Jade said while there will be no official Aerobics OZ Style before Cheezontwitch, he encouraged people to warm up before the show.

“If you have an old VHS of Aerobics OZ Style, maybe get your spandex ready and have a quick workout before being taken back to the time of Cheez TV.”
