Celtic have not yet reached an agreement with any TV companies to broadcast the match.

According to the Celtic TV website, the match will be live on the channel – but only to subscribers outside the UK and Ireland.

The decision not to broadcast the match is likely to have been made in order to ensure that the club can maximise ticket sales.

Rosenborg fans have hit out at the Scottish champs as the clash will not be shown on any Norwegian TV channel.

Club CEO Tove Moe Dyrhaug said: “Of course we think it’s regrettable that our supporters and Norwegian fans will not see the match.

“Celtic has to answer why, but it’s a very special situation.”

BT Sport hold the rights to the Champions League, but clubs are permitted to auction qualifiers separately.

Celtic TV showed the second round match against Linfield at Parkhead.

But fans were left furious as issues with the stream left many unable to watch for as long as half an hour.

The Bhoys will be desperate to avoid a repeat this time round.
