Asamoah Gyan Signs Two-Year Deal With Kayserispor

Kayserispor have completed the signing of centre-forward Asamoah Gyan from Shanghai SIPG.

The 31-year-old has put pen-to-paper on a two-year deal with the Turkish Super Lig outfit – thus ending his six-year adventure in Asia. He recently enjoyed a loan spell in the UAE wih Al Ahli but is now back on European soil.

His arrival at the Kadir Has Stadium was confirmed via the club’s official website this afternoon and he becomes the latest signing of what has already been a busy summer for Marius Șumudică’s side thus far.

Fellow Turkish side Bursaspor had been heavily linked with a move for Gyan but failed to reach an agreement with the former Sunderland striker which allowed Kayserispor to swoop in and complete a deal for the Ghanian international.

A fine goalscorer on his day, Gyan is the leading scorer for his national team and will be looking to replicate similar form at his new club next season as they aim to improve on last term’s 15th place finish.
