The German club see landing Hinds as a massive coup after the youngster was hailed as Arsenal’s latest prodigy earlier in his career.

At 15 he played for the club’s Under-19s in a match against Marseille and was tipped to make the first-team like Jack Wilshere from the Gunners academy.

Last season he played for the Under-23s and agreed a new contract before getting loaned out to Stevenage in League Two.

But Arsene Wenger has agreed to allow him to leave for Wolfsburg where he will get more chances to progress.

The teenager is part of the England youth set-up and revealed last season that Thierry Henry was a big influence on him after the Gunners legend coached in the Academy.

He is set to be one of the few English youngsters to play abroad to try and get first-team action instead of the Premier League.
