Alexis Sanchez set to rake in astonishing £500,000-a-week in wages if he completes spectacular move to Paris Saint-Germain

ALEXIS SANCHEZ is demanding £500,000-a-week from Paris Saint-Germain.

And that is keeping alive Manchester City’s hopes that they aren’t going to be blown away by the French club for the second time this summer.

Having lost Dani Alves to PSG earlier this month, the Blues’ Abu Dhabi owners are banking on Sanchez pricing himself out of a move to play for a club backed by rivals Qatar.

Arsenal insist that Sanchez is not for sale at any price, despite having less than 12 months left on his current deal.

And they don’t want to hand their star player to another Premier League club – even for £50million.

PSG are prepared to pay £40m – hoping that Arsenal will reluctantly sell Sanchez abroad.

City’s hopes have been dented by reports saying that he has met with PSG representatives in Paris.

Sanchez was said to be at the five-star Royal Monceau Raffles to meet with the Ligue 1 side’s sporting director Antero Henrique on Friday.

However, despite reports suggesting PSG could shell out £70m for the Chilean in order to get their hands back on the Ligue 1 title once more, Arsene Wenger laughed off the speculation.

The Gunners boss said: “It’s only media imagination”.

Having beaten Bayern Munich on penalties earlier this week, Arsenal were thumped 3-0 by a Michy Batshuayi-inspired Chelsea on Saturday, with the Belgian netting twice.
