Albert Adomah hobbles off injured in Aston Villa pre-season friendly win over Telford

Ghana winger Albert Adomah suffered an injury in Aston Villa pre-season friendly 4-0 against English National League North side AFC Telford United on Wednesday.

The English Championship side were dealt an early blow in pre-season as Albert Adomah hobbled off against the Lilly-whites at the New Bucks Head Stadium.

Adomah left the field midway through the first half and replaced by youngsters Callum O’Hare.

The 29-year-old was first to go after colliding with a Telford defender as he looked to break forward through midfield.

The former Middlesbrough winger bravely tried to continue but was pulled by the watching Steve Bruce in the 27th minute.

Goals from Andre Green, Gabriel Agbonlahor and Henri Lansbury’s double secured win for the Villans in their second pre-season game after beating lower-tier side Kidderminster earlier in the day.
